2010-11 NFL Football

Are you ready for some football! I know I am. Can't wait for the first kickoff game. I have to make my pre-season predictions and comments. Here they are:

AFC East - Jets- Reasons- They look strong on defense especially if Revis is re-signed. The pick up of LaDanian Tomilison, Santana Moss, Jason Taylor, Coles re-signed,  and Manigold signed. The Jets look strong. Sanchez just has to manage the game and keeps his mistakes to a minimum and let the defense do the rest.

AFC North-Cincinnati-Reasons-I just believe that they are a little bit revived with T.O and Ocho Cinco. Their defense has come along nicely and Palmer has a new outlook on his opportunity to be the good quarterback he can be. I would have picked the Steelers, but I think they have a little shock to their system with their QB issues and injuries will just hurt them. Also, the Ravens defense is getting old and they need more weapons on offense..

AFC South-Colts-Reasons-Peyton is still the man. He finds a way to win and no one will take him off his pedestal no time soon.  Tennessee will be second in that division only becasue of  Vince Young and Chris Johnson and Houston will be much improved, but will fall short.

AFC West-Chargers-Reasons-They are always right in the mix, but fail to finish off the season strong. They have a good quarterback, although receiver issues. Sproles will be fine as long as he can stay healthy and don't forget about future Hall of Famer Gates. He will be the main reason they win this division. The Broncos will finish second. I think the flare has died for their team and they need a spark. Stockley and Moreno cannot do it by themselves.

NFC East-Dallas-Reasons-They have all of the weapons on defense and offense. I don't understand why they are so disappointing. They have so much potential it is ridiculous. If they do not win this yea. they need to pack up and call themselves the Dallas Texans and call it a day. Romo, Miles Austin, Ware, Dez Bryant, Choice (my choice for runningback), Barber, Crayton, Brooking,, Newman, Spears, Witten and Roy Williams, I'm calling all of you out to get it in gear. If you are "America's team", get it done already. Uhhh! Giants will finish second. They will be adequate this year, decent offense, good defense.

NFC North-Packers-Reasons-This is probably the hardest division to pick. Everybody is jumping on the Favre wagon this year and I think he is gonna tank this year. I love Peterson, Shiancoe, Rice (hurt) and Harvin on offense a nd Jared Allen and Pat Williams on defense, but the Pack is a bit more healthy mentally and physically. Aaron Rodgers will have great stats this year.

NFC South-Saints-Reasons-No one else in this division is willing to win. The Falcons will probably finish second, but cannot contend with the Saints offense or defense. The Panthers and Tampa are basically trying to rebuild a team. No Steve Smith, panthers are garbage. Tampa doesn't have the defense they had years ago and offense sputters.

NFC West-San Fran-Reasons-I think they will get it in gear this year. The pieces will start to fall into place for them. they have a good defense and their offense has come a long way. Seattle will be a close second.  I still believe that no one respects Seattle and they lack toughness. Mike Singletary gives San Fran that edge.

Congratulations to the New Orlean Saints.

To a much deserved city. Congratulations! A lot of people believe you could do it and you did it.  Although there was much speculation on Peyton Manning giving the game away, the Saints fought hard and persevered.  The Who Dat? Nation will have a massive party at the Mardi Gras.

It's Super Bowl Time!!!

This Super Bowl may not be the most popular, but there sure is a lot of hoopla about it.  The Saints and their dream season, Drew Brees great passing, Bush finally coming out of oblivion, their defense finally showing up.  What about the Colts; Peyton Manning, the living legend, technical genius, commander of the offense; the receiving core of Wayne, Clark, Collie and Garcon; Their hard hitting defense with Bullock and Bethea.  Although Freeney may not be 100%, i will ake 50% of Freeney and still terrorize Brees. Who will win? My heart says Saints, but my football knowledge tells me Manning wants this game in the worse way.  He just knows how to win and it is hard to go against him.  I dare say this will be a little close and Manning knows how to win close games. Who Dat/? I don't know! It's hard to win your first Super Bowl!
